DRUG COUNSELING

Moving Past the Addiction

Our Chaplains work with the drug user in a therapy setting. His or her purpose is to find the root of the addiction and help progress into sobriety. Depending on the underlying cause of the addiction discovered, the Chaplain develops an individual treatment plan for each patient. To help their patients work past the addiction, our Chaplains educate them about addiction and teach them how to move on through life without substance abuse. Our main goal is to guide the drug abuser into sobriety through counseling.

FAMILY COUNSELING

Let’s Keep the Family Together

Family therapy or family counseling is designed to address specific issues that affect the psychological health of the family, such as major life transitions or mental health conditions. It may be used as the primary mode of treatment or as a complementary approach.

Family counseling aims to promote understanding and collaboration among family members in order to solve the problems of one or more individuals.

YOUTH COUNSELING

Handling the Pressure

We provide support and guidance to young people who are seen to be “at risk” or who have committed crimes. Youth Counselor Chaplains provide support in a range of issues affecting this population which impact upon their development socially or educationally. As well as providing support, we are also apoint of contact for young people to find out about local services. Our Chaplains are found in a range of environments including schools, within the criminal justice system and social services – this leaves them well placed to engage with young people that are experiencing problems or who are seen to be at risk of developing ongoing issues.
